Ngwe Saung Beach The unspoilt 15 km of white sand beaches in Myanmar

About Ngwe Saung Beach

Ngwe Saung Beach

Ngwe Saung Beach is located approximately 270 km to the west of Yangon and 35 km Northwest of Pathein (Bassein) and is reached after a 5-6 hours car journey from Yangon. The journey from Yangon to Ngwe Saung takes guests through rural Irrawaddy Delta landscapes and small villages, river crossings and local markets.

A 20 minute flight by Air Bagan takes guests twice a week from Yangon to Pathein and then by hotel shuttle buses to Ngwe Saung Beach.

The Ngwe Saung area is home to lush natural green forests and casuarinas trees. The un-spoilt 15 km of white sandy beach at the Bay of Bengal invites travellers to relax under tropical coconut palm trees. Ngwe Saung Beach is the ideal retreat for guests seeking a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, loving to swim in crystal blue waters and enjoying the sun.

Besides beach activities such as swimming, windsurfing and snorkelling guests can visit small fishing villages and local markets, explore the countryside by bicycle or enjoy a boat trip to one of the offshore islands. Outside the hotels activities are limited and so is the choice of restaurants.

Ngwe Saung Beach is a seasonal destination and most hotels close during the monsoon season from mid May to mid October.
